Nation-wide Telecom Carriers: Electric Lightwave provides network services including transport, internet access and voice services, to telecom carriers nationwide.
Integra Telecom Inc. is a facilities-based telecommunications company that was founded in 1984 as OGI Telecomm, a provider to the Oregon Graduate Institute. In 1998, the company changed its name to reflect its integrated approach and national expansion, beginning with entry into the Minnesota market through acquisitions. In January 2000, the company attracted $211 million in venture capital to fund the expansion. In June 2000, the company entered Washington and Utah. Integra was recognized nationally as the first competitor to purchase unbundled services from incumbent telecom providers. In 2006, the company acquired Electric Lightwave creating a combined company of over 1,100 telecommunications professionals, and serving thousands of small and mid-sized businesses in eight states, including, Arizona, California, Idaho, Minnesota, North Dakota, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
