BEAVERTON, OR - February 7, 2003 - Integra Telecom, a fast growing provider of local, long-distance and Internet services for small and midsize businesses, has named Julie Rouzee to the post of chief information officer. Rouzee, who has been with the company since 2000, formerly served as the company's vice president of information technology.
In her new role, Rouzee is responsible for the information technology department and for implementing and maintaining the operating support systems that help grow and sustain Integra's operational market areas-including Integra's current operations in Oregon, Washington, Utah, Minnesota and North Dakota.
"Julie's experience makes her an ideal choice for our CIO," said Dudley Slater, chief executive officer of Integra Telecom. " She understands Integra's needs and the needs of our customers."
Rouzee will also assume overall responsibility for Integra's billing services to ensure that the functionality and integrity of the company's Daleen revenue chain system is maintained, as well as monitor the bill production cycles for each of Integra's five operational market areas. Additionally, Rouzee will manage the long-distance carrier services relationships and will have accountability for costs associated with the company's long-distance business.
Rouzee has more than 19 years of experience in the telecom industry, with the last nine years focused on directing large to medium project teams.
Prior to joining Integra, Rouzee spent two years as information technology manager at CenturyTel in Vancouver, Wash., and she served as lead project manager for Pacific Telecom, also in Vancouver. Rouzee holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business and management from Washington State University.
