Integra Telecom Relocates Corporate Headquarters to Portland's Lloyd District
State's Largest Competitive Telecom Carrier Selects New Location to Accommodate Growth and Consolidate Offices
BEAVERTON, Ore. — Jan. 8, 2004 — Integra Telecom, a leading provider of all-in-one communications services for small and mid-sized businesses in the West, will relocate its corporate headquarters to Portland in April. The move will consolidate its three local offices, formerly in Beaverton, Portland, and Vancouver, into 63,000 square feet of Class A office space in Portland’s Lloyd District at 1201 NE Lloyd Blvd.
"Integra is a healthy, growing Oregon company that is preparing for future growth and intends to support Portland’s downtown economy," said Dudley Slater, Integra Telecom chief executive officer. "The move is a very positive step for Integra and provides a number of advantages including greater visibility, additional square footage, a centralized location to better accommodate our employees, and lower operating costs due to office consolidation."
The transition is expected to occur over the next three months. Nearly all of the 300 employees in the company’s three existing Portland metro offices will move to the new location. The remainder of Integra’s approximately 600 employees, which support operations in Wash., Utah, Minn., N.D. and other parts of Oregon, will not be affected by the move.
Integra's new offices will house the company headquarters, its Oregon sales and services offices, its network operations center, and the company’s service vehicle fleet. Approved signage will be displayed at the top of the building for greater visibility in the community.
"We're eager to assume a more prominent role in Portland’s downtown community," continues Slater. "We're encouraged by the PDC’s aid package and the speed with which the city has pursued the approval of our sign permit. We are looking forward to continued good relations with the city and eager to do our part as a contributing corporate citizen. We consider Portland to be one of the nation’s most livable cities, and as the city seems committed to change its reputation by fostering a vibrant business community, we have only to benefit."
