Integra Telecom Announces Expanded Service Area in Washington
Company closes on acquisition of Electric Lightwave
SEATTLE- August 2, 2006 - Electric Lightwave is now a subsidiary of Integra Telecom, an integrated communications carrier dedicated to providing a better choice for businesses.
The final agreement and transfer of company ownership was completed July 31.
Throughout Washington, the combined company will employ more than 100 telecommunications professionals, operate hundreds of miles of metro fiber networks and serve thousands of small and mid-sized businesses in the Puget Sound, Olympia and Spokane areas. Integra Telecom's Washington headquarters is located at the Columbia Center Tower 701 Fifth Avenue, Su. 4500 Seattle, WA, 98104.
Executive Appointments Announced
The company has tapped Integra and Electric Lightwave managers to fill leadership posts in Washington. Craig Hawley, recently a sales manager with Integra Telecom and Andre Lorenz, formerly a branch manager for Electric Lightwave, will share vice president responsibilities in leading the sales organization of the combined operations in Washington.

The combined company is one of the largest competitive telecommunications carriers in the West, generating over $300 million in annual revenue from thousands of business customers across its eight states, including Arizona, California, Idaho, Minnesota, North Dakota, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
Branding
The combined company will operate under the Integra Telecom name. Going forward, the Electric Lightwave name will refer only to the company's carrier-to-carrier network services and sales operation.
Former ELI Customers Begin Seeing Integra Telecom Name
Current Electric Lightwave customers will soon receive welcome kits from Integra Telecom; they will also begin seeing the new company name on all forms of communication. Customers' services and rates will not be impacted as a result of this transaction.
